Xbox One (Day One Edition) audio not working over HDMI

Hi,

I've got a Day One Edition Xbox One that I've obviously been using just fine since launch. During that time I've setup different home theatre equipment around it, but things have been fine. Over the past few weeks I've had audio issues though, despite no
recent changes in my setup.

Setup is:

Astro A50 Amp (Gen 1) <--Optical-- Xbox One --HDMI--> HDMI Switch --HDMI--> Sound bar --HDMI--> TV

Sound works find through my A50 headphones, I'm just not getting anything through my sound bar any more.

I've tried unplugging and starting the components, (TV/Soundbar, switch, Xbox,) in different orders but it isn't helping, (I thought it did before.)

I've tried connecting directly to the TV, ignoring the switch and sound bar but that didn't seem to change anything.

I've tried hard resetting the console, but no change.

I've reviewed all of the Xbox Display/Sound settings, but everything looks fine. I have Video set to HDMI, (not Auto,) and Audio is set to bitstream on both HDMI and Optical.

Any more advice for things I can try? Not a huge problem when it is just me playing, (I'll use the headphones,) but it is if there are multiple people, or we're trying to watch a Blu-Ray, etc.

XBox One HDMI to TV (display only)

XBox One Optical out to Sound bar (Bitstream Dolby)

I bought Xbox One one day edition in pre order, until this day when I'm playing my XOne, independent of game or time the screen and audio turn off about two seconds, after this, audio and video come back , but the game did not stopping.

My XOne is updated last version.

I changed HDMI cable, and TV and nothing change.

But Only in Xone, in X360, PS3 and WiiU is normal.

What can Be?

 

If you have tried everything possible, and not getting any sound through your TV when connected directly, including checking your system settings, then your console *may* need to be serviced, it sounds like it may be a hardware fault but hard to know for
certain.

 

There may be an issue with your HDMI splitter. I would first try to bypass the splitter to see if you are getting any sound out of your device. Remove the HDMI splitter and use a direct connection between your xbox and the sound bar and/or TV to see if you
are getting any sound out. If you are getting sound to any of the external devices then the splitter is your culprit. Hope this helps. Cheers!
