Xbox one day one edition acting wonky

I have the day one edition Xbox One, and just to get it out of the way, it does have a disc drive problem. It has trouble reading discs, but I usually just eject and reinsert for like 10 minutes, then it's working fine...still irritating though. However,
this thread I wanted to discuss a different problem I'm having. My console is acting like I'm constantly pressing the guide button on my controller. I read through some forums that the controller sometimes doesn't turn off properly, so I plucked the battery
out of it, and used my second controller. Things seemed to work fine, until the issues popped back up. I switched to using my remote, same issues still. Anyone know what's going on?

So I bought an XBOX One about 4 months ago. Everything was working fine, recently got a new larger Samsung TV. For some reason now, certain games (I.E. Rise of Tomb Raider) pixelate while I am playing. At one point, the game completely froze and this
loud buzzing noise came out of the speakers. Now, the graphics seem a lot less sharp. Is this a console problem? Should I return it for repairs? Any suggestions?

Have you tried doing a hard reset on the console? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the
console. Once it is back up and operational test for results. Give it a try and let us know. Good Luck!

The mini games for minecraft was only on the xbox one edition.

The newer version which is Bedrock edition does not have the mini games as the other one. Instead they have servers that acts as mini games.

To know the difference is the xbox one edition will say "Xbox One edition" under the minecraft name.

While the bedrock edition will just say minecraft.

You might have gotten the newer version while your friends still has the older version of the game on Xbox one.

Have you tried other games. I know my disk reader on my day one edition Xbox one started acting up. Might be the reader itself. That's a big part of why i started going to digital games.

Hi Carmenlita, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

We may need to perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
