XBox One Day One Console - Fan Noise and Loose HDMI Output

I bought an XBox One Day One console. I really barely use it. My kids sometimes use it but the 360s get much more play time.

I thought I'd fire it up last night and I had awful fan noise and got nothing displayed on the TV.

I have no idea what to do about the fan noise, it is very distracting.

The display issue was solved by wiggling the HDMI cable. The cable is fully seated and it only take a small amount of upwards pressure to make the display disappear and a small amount of downward pressure to make it display again so I'm pretty sure the HDMI
port attachment to the inside is loose/broken.

Very disappointing for a console that probably has less then 100 hours of use.

Fan Rattling Noise

Had Xbox One since December. Has recently started making a rattling noise from the fan. Noise is only produced if console is sitting horizontally, tilting it either way will make it stop. I'm guessing the fan could be hitting something, or is loose. Any
advice?

5 days old Xbox One S 1 tb has a weird buzzing noise from fan, and turns off on its own somtimes

I bought an Xbox One S 1 tb 5 days ago, and since day 1 there has been a weird buzzing noise from the fan as if something might be loose. And within the last 2 days the Xbox has suddently turned off on its own, while ive been playing some games. What to
do?

Hi AfterTen,

Sorry you're having issues with your Day One console. For the fan if it's making noise it could very possibly be a bearing or just dirty. I would suggest using some compressed air and trying to blow the dust out of the console vents. If that doesn't
work as far as fans there isn't much you can do other than using the Service Center link below. With the HDMI cable, I would suggest trying another cable to see if you get better results.

Did you make sure that the TV is connected to the correct HDMI port on the back of the console, there is two ports on the back of the Xbox One console one for HDMI in from cable / satellite TV box, and one that outputs the signal to the TV.

Thank you for swimming, my friend, I don't mean only the resolution, I mean the image that the console records, the same image that is sent back to the console by hdmi?? Or will it be recorded before reaching the hdmi output??? Let me give a simple example: suppose the hdmi cable is damaged for any reason, and the output image has noise in the TV image, will this noise be seen in the recorded clip or not? Or any changes made in the settings of the console, such as color, contrast, sharpness, etc., are also saved in the console clip?

A big fan. Big fan = low noise output as it can spin more slowly. It will keep the console much cooler too. The PS4 is obviously more likely to overheat as it is smaller (I would presume)
