I've now been 10 days without my console and It's still at the Czech repair. So atleast other 10+ days to get it back, nearly month from home-to-home and can't play Forza/Destiny.

They might now have few X1:s stacking up at the repair...

December 2014 Update - Patch Notes?

Maybe it'll fix the *** whining/buzz noise I get on my Kinect-less Xbox One.

 

i have the same problem, if you can send me an invite AlienatedBovine i would be greatfull!

 

The October update should drop soon anyway. I'm sending everyone who asked their invite to the preview. Should get a Xbox message in 48 hours or so.

 

I've noticed dvd drive is very noisy after last update (preview), it keep spinning at high speed, wonder if is something involved with update. Drive basically works but it's noisy.

My consoles started doing that too after installing the October update. Remember, the update is not quite ready yet. They'll probably fix this before rolling it out to the public.

Apparently the noise is less intense now but also audible when playing games? Is that correct?

Yes, the noise is half gone, now there is noise when playing games!



This is the sound I had after the update beta October. First, in the dashboard, all was quiet, no noise, but after log in game noise appears!!!

 

I would also like an invitation to the preview program.

I hope to download the october update soon, as my return period expires in a 5 days.

This whole coil whine is giving me a headache.

 

On my 3rd xbox one now lol could you send me whatever it is to fix the noise mate ? Would be awesome

Got my console back form MS repair center and still have the noise issue, same as before. They even included a note with my console saying no issues were found. Don't know how much more of this BS I can take. Is there a release date for this October update?

 

Why do they accept consoles if the beta update fixed the weird noise?

Also lots of users report strange noise from the power brick....
