Xbox One Dashboard Issues.

Hello I'm having problems with the new update I'm guessing for the new dashboard when I turn my system on the Xbox one screen comes on an load for about 5mins then goes too a black screen the dashboard doesn't load
on my TV I can't see nothing but if I hold the Xbox guide button It pops up an say shut down console or turn off controller but nothing else comes up besides friends inviting me to parties or favorites coming online on my screen it's really unfair that I can't
do nothing is there anything I can do to fix this please help me I would appreciate it

Xbox One Dashboard Slow & Laggy

I went on vacation for 10 days and remember the Xbox One dashboard being fast and responsive with no issues prior to leaving. After returning, I've noticed the dashboard is slower and laggy, to the point where it's annoying. I've done a hard reset and also gave it a few days before typing this, still the same. Was there an update or something? Anyone else experiencing issues?

I'm not in the preview program and on an Xbox One X.

I'm having a similar issue. I was prompted to update to the new dashboard I'm guessing and after loading the update and starting to apply it the TV turned of then on then off again and now having manually turned it back on I'm getting a black screen only.

I have power cycled my xbox twice and it fixes it but after awhile it returns to its corrupted state i will try a console reset.

I have time to bump this topic.

Go to settings>system>console info>reset console>reset and keep my games and apps.

This won't delete any of your games, just make sure you select the correct option last.

This has fix several dashboard issues for me. You will have to re download your account back onto your Xbox.

Should only take about 5-10 minutes.

Hey there WrongShinigami!

Sorry to hear about the issue. I see that you have tried a hard reset, but have you tried doing a full power cycle? Follow the steps below:

Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit is fully powered off.
Unplug the power supply from the back of the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Plug the power back in and power on.
