    Xbox One Dashboard from 2016 - should i update it?


    Hi, yesterday i turned on my launch day Xbox One that was last turned on in like 9 years, and it booted into old dashboard from like 2015-2016. Should i update this console or is it rare or worth something?

    I do experience this issue as well (along with crackling audio when doing anything on the dashboard, and when playing games). Theres's no pattern (it happens randomly). This has been occuring since the purchase of the console back
    in 2016. I believe it's a software related problem. I sincerely believe the major dashboard update coming in autumn will address this issue. It's still under warranty, but I'm hesitant to replace it since it's a Halo 5 limited one Xbox One console, and it's
    completely sold out in my country. Also there's no guaranty the replaced console won't suffer from this as well.
