Xbox One dashboard freezing/console lock-up

Did you fixed it? I am having the exact same problem

 

I completely understand about the being patient thing but I honestly doubt it'll be an update to fix this...because why would they tell us to send our xbox to Microsoft to fix it if there's going to be an update to fix it? And plus they are having everyone
PAY for the fix at that! Maybe you just have to pay for it to get fixed early before the update that's going to fix the problem comes....i honestly this it's to make more people buy the xbox one s even thought our original xbox one is perfectly fine.....something
like what they did to xbox 360 when you couldn't get any of the new games and you are just forced to buy the xbox one AND games....

 

Having the same issues here... At first it simply would freeze on the startup xbox screen indefinitelly, and I managed to fix by doing a factory reset ( which is hard, since my eject button is not working very well when I try to hold it ).

I did a clean factory reset this week ( erasing all games ), and now it started to freeze a lot on the dashboard and some games have missing sounds now and then... it does look like a hard drive problem...

I'm on the preview program btw... if anyone discovers any new information, plz share.

 

Ok, I apparently just solved my issue by unrolling of the preview program and doing a factory reset... looks like my problem was caused by software...

 

My Xbox one started doing this about 2 weeks ago with random freezing and taking ages to start up. Then on Friday I started getting E105 errors so I reset my console. The reset process took 3 attempts but once done the console was running ok but with the
freezes and stutters in OS. Yesterday it refused to shut down and I noticed it was still on after 20 mins I switched the source on my tv find another E105 error. I was going out so I just pulled the power cable out. When I returned I plugged the power back
in and my console started to Home a little slowly but with no errors.

It seems there is some random bug in the OS causing these issues on some consoles with the latest update. I was nearly tempted to pay the £84 to get my console serviced but have decided against it as I think the issue is OS software not hardware. I was thinking
I could be power supply but this thread as convinced me it’s the OS and more so the preview program update. I don’t know how to roll back but I hope MS fix or update it soon as it’s crippled my Xbox one.

Yea I know how you feel I bought the new Xbox one X when it first came out for almost $600 and less than a week after I got it all the exact same stuff that you said was going on with your Xbox is happening to my console as well I’m really frustrated and
do not know what to do I tried all the stuff you tried to fix it to but yea this is **** for Xbox to be doing this to a lot more people then anyone realizes

 

Anyone still having this problem, it only happens to me when I try and load battlefield I’ve tried everything but still does it. I’m just waiting for an update to try and if that doesn’t work I’m going to talk to Microsoft to see what the can do about it
as I don’t wanna pay for a problem they may have caused.

I'm having the same issue as well. I can't back out of apps (NFLX) or games (FH3). I can hear the snap menu but it doesn't appear so I'm forced to shut down console in order to return to home screen. This blows.

 

yes was having the same issue all day since I dwnlded Forza 6 from the store. I was using my phone app to launch home when I wanted to back out. Got fed up with that and just pulled the power cord while it was on to make it do a hard reset and my snap menu
came back. Not that I recommend that treatment, but sometimes it's just required.

 

Having the same problem here to for about a year. Called Microsoft they didn’t know what to do. I tried everything I have factory reset and fully reset my Xbox. Waited for updates. I have power cycled it. Nothings worked. And they want me to pay $70 plus
shipping for there mistakes. It sucks to because you would think being a good company they would find out what’s wrong but they don’t. They’re a horrible company. I even get error codes that are not in there database. Called them about it and they said I was
lying. Told them I could give the pictures and they said they didn’t need them. It makes me mad that I spend 300 on a machine they can’t fix

 

My Xbox is basically bricked at this point, constantly freezing and lagging. Done everything but a complete reset as others seem to be having similar issues and I don't want to unnecessarily lose everything. Also had issue with my
HDMI not being recognized by my monitor. The 360 never had issues like this, and I've had nothing but problems with this massive paper weight Microsoft ever dared to call a gaming console.

 

So I was having the same problems OP was, and it progressively got worse over a few days just like OP as well. I saw a few users say something about the Prview Program, so I figured I’d give unenrolling a shot as I’ve exhausted all other fixes aside from
sending my Xbox to Microsoft so they can charge me to fix something they broke in the first problem. It actually worked! It has been 5 days since I’ve unenrolled and I have not had a single issue! No deleting of profiles, and no factory resets! After a hard
reset to unfreeze the console, I rushed into the insider app when the dashboard launched, and unenrolled. Then a hard reset to be safe, and again, I’ve had absolutely no issues since. The least you can do is try this if you read this! Hope this helps anyone
