    as the title says, I have tried a usb, xbox beta app and windows 10. I had custom gamerpics, switched to avatar by mistake, now I cannot upload the same picture I had originally. And help?

    Xbox custom gamer pic not working !!!

    Child accounts are restricted from seeing and uploading custom gamerpics sorry.

    You mean Gamerpics right? It's

    > Friends
    > My profile
    > Customize profile

    As for backgrounds, they're not on the Xbox Store. You can upload your own picture via USB, or set an achievement art as one.

    Why am I unable to change to a custom gamer pic when my record is perfect, no violations?

    Try to change your Gamerpics on your console, just upload the pic on your one drive.

    On your console go to you profile, gamerpic, custom and select OneDrive to download your custom Gamerpic.

    I had a custom gamerpic on my Xbox 360, but it doesn't carry over to the One either.

    So therefore, if you have a way to upload a custom gamerpic on Xbox One, it's probably not sanctioned by Microsoft and therefore you could be penalised if you do it.

    Of course, the content of your custom gamerpic also matters. Can't have anything that breaks the illusion of being "family friendly".

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are having issues with uploading a custom gamerpic. If you haven't already, please review this support article: Change
    your Xbox One gamerpic

    There is a video showing you how to do it there. Please keep in mind that child accounts are not able to upload custom gamer pics. There is no way around this.
