Xbox one custom gamerpic problems

So i went to upload a custom gamerpic on the xbox beta app and it says i have to be 18 to upload a picture. Im older than 18 and have an adult account. This makes no sense, none of my friends have had this problem and they also have adult accounts.

You can not have custom gamerpics at the moment.

The feature is coming but at the moment only people in the alpha ring of the insider program can use them.

Anyone else using a custom gamerpic at the moment risks enforcement action on their account.

Xbox one custom gamerpic problems

So I saw that just the other day that you can have a custom gamerpic now on the Xbox one. So I go on the the Xbox app and press upload gamerpic, and I get a message saying "you need to be 18 or older to upload a custom gamerpic". It makes no sense to me.
I have an adult account. Always have, never changed my birthdate for my Microsoft account or anything. So I go talk to 3 Microsoft reps, wasted two hours of my time just for all three of them to say "can't help you isn't in my department, but you can try the
forums". Can anybody help me with this? Xbox support has been completely useless for me.

Are you still having problems using a custom Gamerpic? I don't know if it is a known bug but this is what I did to enable custom Gamerpic.

My Profile > Privacy Settings > Game Content > You can see and share content

Set the option to "Everybody" in order to upload and use a custom Gamerpic. Anything other than that and your custom Gamerpic reverts back to an avatar or one of those generic ones.

The custom gamerpic feature is currently not available on the new Xbox app. Currently, the only way to change to a custom gamerpic, is using the Xbox One console.

Custom gamerpics are currently only for adult accounts. Having your privacy settings set to "Adult" does not make a child account an adult account, and users are unable to change their birthday on their Xbox accounts at this time. This error is based on
the birthday on your Xbox account; you can confirm if your account is a child account by
contacting us via phone or chat.

Once you hit the legal age in your region, or it's released so that child accounts are able to upload custom gamerpics, you will be able to upload them. Until that time, you will need to use the preset gamerpics or an Avatar picture.

Because this is an item that is still an Insider/Preview feature, this thread will be locked. If you have issues with this feature on an adult account or if it's released to test on child accounts, please submit feedback through the Windows 10 Xbox App or
through a console that is in the Insider Program.

Ok,so you can now upload a custom gamerpic if you have the xbox beta app on a windows 10 pc.

If it's the ordinary xbox app it wont work
