  1. Xbox One cust service nightmare


    Sent my XB1 in to MS for repair a month ago, received it back last week, and it wouldn't start up. I called customer service & set up an advance exchange, and was told I would receive a refurbished console that was guaranteed to work.

    Received my "guaranteed" refurb replacement console today, and it turns on, but doesn't output any video or sound. This is unbelievable. Do they just take these broken consoles out of one box, dump them in another & send them back out?

    If it's not bad enough that I received 2 "repaired" consoles that don't work, cust service can't even set up a new service ticket until they receive my 1st console back, so it will be at least another 2-3 weeks until I can get my 3rd XB1 console, which I
    have zero confidence will actually work.

    By far the worst customer service experience I ever had with any company. With problems like this, you should either be given a NEW console, or a refund. Extremely disappointed & out $500. Thanks Microsoft!

    Us Ambassadors can't really look in to this type of issue. I do, however, have a suggestion that will help you. If you tweet @XboxSupport, they may be able to assist you, they are very prompt in responding to tweets.

    What do the folks at the repair center tell you?

  6. The cust svc rep just told me I'll have to create another service request for the 2nd console, so I can return that one & get a 3rd replacement (which will be another refurb). The problem is, I have zero confidence in the repair dept. I have received two
    consoles in a row that don't work out of the box. They are obviously not testing these consoles after repairing them. Really bad customer service & quality control.

  7. Ended up driving an hour to the nearest Microsoft store & exchanged the 2nd defective refurb for a brand new system. I called in advance & they said to just bring my whole system in (console, kinect, everything) and they would exchange for a new one. Also
    gave me a free game of my choice. They were great & it was definitely worth the drive to avoid more headaches with the MS repair dept.

    FWIW, they told me they have had a lot of customers come in with refurbed units that don't work. MS really needs to address the issues with their repair dept.

    I would like to be able to travel to a Microsoft store, but my travel time would be a little bit further as I would have to get an 8 hour flight to the US and then travel by car to the nearest store.

    I had a similar problem customer support, I had an advanced exchange that they got wrong, they then told me that I would have to wait a couple of days so they can cancel the service order, 3 weeks later I get an email saying there going to bill me £128 I
    then contacted them again via email and all they tell me is we are looking into it.

    I have been an avid Xbox supporter over the years, I'm now fed up with the lack care in the support and since switching to the Xbox one which again I think was a let down, me and my brother-in law are now for the first time thinking of switching to a PlayStation
    4.

    It's like Microsoft Xbox are to big of a company to really care what we think.

    I got a refurb, and to be honest, I trust them more. They are former broken consoles that they fix, whereas a new console you never know what will go wrong with it.

    Another thing is that some people are placing the consoles vertically instead of horizontally. Just thought to put this here, and maybe spread the word.
