    Xbox one crashing


    So I bought my xbox one like 2 months ago and everything was great up until about a week or two ago. Now every time I try to launch the netflix app or youtube app and watch something, my xbox crashes and turns itself off. Sometimes after a few seconds,
    sometimes after a few minutes, and I am unsure what to do in order to fix this annoying problem. However, I can still play games just fine without any issues. I would really appreciate any help I can get, thanks.

    MY XBONE JUST DIED!!!!!!!

    It's not just BF4, DR3 as well is crashing on me. Google Xbox One games crashing. There are also several threads in the XO support forum discussing it.

    Been having the same issue since the september update.

    I've found that having the kinect ON and the system set to power savings mode amplifies the issue of the console just crashing. What I've done to stabilize it is completely turn off kinect and change the settings to 'instant on'.

    This seems to allow the console to stop turning itself off. There are a number of threads now on the forums around this same/similar issue which all sounds like power draw issues.

    I've been holding out for the next update in hopes that it is a software issue and they fix it as the solution of using instant on and disabling my kinect is not a real solution. Just a work around for me. Something worth trying.

    The XBOX One system update today also didn't resolve the BF4 crashes, but no surprise there, as BF4 crashes on every platform.

    NHL GameCenter Constantly Crashes (10/18/2014)

    Update: These crashes only seem to be happening with the NHL app on Xbox One, but not Xbox 360. I've turned on my old Xbox 360 and have been able to watch that same feed just fine without the application crashing back to the home screen.

    On the Xbox One the NHL App crashes back to my home screen after a couple of minutes of watching.

    Similar issue. Only d2. Causes Xbox One to crash.

    Cleared all Forsaken add ons. Cleared cache. Cleared profile. Reinstalled d2.

    Still randomly crashes.

    Twitch keep crashing.

    Twitch works on my 360 and PC.

    I've also found 3 channels that don't crash on the xbox one

    twitch.tv/xbox

    twitch.tv/fragdolls

    twitch.tv/1337loungelive

    All of these channels are ad free when watching from the PC.

    When other channels crash on the xbox one, the timing of the crash seems to be about the same as timing that the ad would kick in on the PC. I suspect the crashes are related to the ads coming from Twitch's Canadian servers.
