    Xbox One crashed after update


    Today i got a message that i needed to install an update (around 400 MB) but suddenly my Xbox One (first version) isn't starting up anymore. When i press the xbox button i hear the ping but its a bit different and very soft.

    my xbox one s crashed after an update through xbox insider. wont turn on or anything .now xbox wants to charge me 159 dollars to fix it . not good Microsoft

    Try to call technical service, it can be an internal problem.

    Hey there InsaneGijs,

    I'm sorry to hear about any issues you may be having with the Xbox One crashing after an update. I would recommend an offline soft factory reset to help restore your Xbox Operating system.

    • “I need help with system updates on my Xbox One”
      • Click on I need to update my console offline
      • Choose the Xbox One Console you are updating
      1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
      2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
      3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
        EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
        Xbox button on the console.
      4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
      5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
        BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
      6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
    Warning: Please make sure to know your email and password for your Xbox profiles on the console. It will remove the profiles, but it will keep games and apps.

    why is microsoft killing the games industrie?

    I dont have xbox one x . I had xbox one the first model .. and now xbox one S .

    And was crashing on some games like ff15 . Vampyr and others like witcher 3. But on witcher 3 after some updates alot of bugs and crash was removed on that updates ..

    But ff15 and vampyr i pay alot for those games and years after i cannot finish those games cause they are Brocken on xbox one ..

    Some other games i cannot play cause the same Crash and my xbox one s is almost new .

    NHL GameCenter Constantly Crashes (10/18/2014)

    Update: These crashes only seem to be happening with the NHL app on Xbox One, but not Xbox 360. I've turned on my old Xbox 360 and have been able to watch that same feed just fine without the application crashing back to the home screen.

    On the Xbox One the NHL App crashes back to my home screen after a couple of minutes of watching.
