Xbox One crackling sound and cant buy games

I have two major problems that my Xbox one is experiencing. The first problem is that instead of producing sound, my Xbox is making weird crackling-like sounds. This happens whenever sound is playing and the loudness of the sound changes when you change
the volume.

The second problem is that I cannot buy any games on the Xbox store. When I went to buy NBA2k20 and clicked “buy” it took me to the credit card screen, but I could not but it. When I clicked buy on that screen, the xbox froze for a few seconds and then took
me back to the home screen. It doesn’t say that the game is downloading of anything. It is like I never even tried to buy the game even though I clearly did. When I went back to the game at the store to try and buy it again it did the same thing. If anyone
knows how to fix either of those problems, please tell me.

Sorry to hear you are having these issues with your xbox console . i think we can possibly help you get things resolved though. First off for the sound i'm not sure what you are using for you output cable whether its
hdmi or an original connector that the xbox one(original) come with. If it is an
hdmi cable i would recommend removing that cable and if possible swap it out with another.

XBOX store purchase

For this issue i would highly recommend doing a hard reset.

-Holding the power button down for 10 seconds while the system is on will perform a hard reset.
-The Xbox One Will Switch Off.
-Power on the Xbox One again. You'll see a green start-up screen.
-All your data is preserved, but the cache will be cleared and settings may reset.

If the issues continue try checking or an update that may solve the problem as well.

Make sure your console is connected to the internet, and then press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings.
Select System > Updates & downloads.
Under "Updates", you'll see: Console update available. Select this button to begin your update, or.

Im using the one that crackles because it is inside the console. You sound like you never heard of this xbox:

I have a new xbox one stereo headset, and there is occasional sound glitches and subtle but noticeable popping or crackling at certain scenarios in a game. Would the problem be fixed with an eventual patch or do I have a faulty headset?

Ya i plug my surround sound system through digital optical and all I get is distorted sound occasionally (crackles) and no 5.1 . There are no crackles through my tv to surround or xbox 360 through surround. I will be sending this unit back if no sound
update fixes this but not until I test it a little longer.

Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist, it sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the microphone crackling on the Xbox App. Is this the app on your phone or PC? If this is on the PC please check under your PC's settings and do a sound test
on the microphone to verify that there is no crackling on that microphone.
