As posted by changing one's locale/region should only really be done when they move into another as some things are not available in certain countries. For more information on what changing locales does, visit Xbox

What exactly are you expecting to see. Changing the region is not recommended unless you are going to actually reside in that region.

It sounds like you still need to migrate your actual account region as well. You can find steps on region migration at https://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/update-microsoft-account-country-region
