    Xbox one could be getting a brand new UI


    Earlier it was reported that to showcase Windows 10 features and perhaps release a Consumer Preview version of its upcoming OS.

    Another interesting bit of information circling around is that the Redmond-based software company may also release details on a brand new Xbox One Dashboard at the same event, perhaps to make the Xbox One experience more in-line with Windows 10 and to be
    able to run Universal apps on the console.

    While these are just rumors and nothing has been confirmed yet, Microsoft is expected to release a statement regarding this event sometime in December. Stay tuned as we keep a close eye on these developments.Microsoft to announce new Xbox One dashboard at

    About this new Dashboard Update

    I am getting a brand new xbox in 2 days - My old one went off an hour ago and mine will be shipped tomorrow Xbox one could be getting a brand new UI :)

    Xbox One Dashboard Preview App Issues

    My Xbox One Dashboard Preview App Registration Status is Enrolled & i am even getting Updates.... Last update received on 26th June 2015, but still my UI is old one. So why i am not getting new UI even after my status is enrolled & getting updates also,
    are the updates region locked or some other things, i am from India....Please help me out....

    Thanks bro! I would be a little gutted if it changed a lot, I have gotten used to how it is now. A little more spotlight for the avatars wouldn't go a miss though.

    One of the surveys a few months ago was about Xbox One and avatars and where we think they should be shown, so they might be coming back Xbox one could be getting a brand new UI :)

    I hope so ^ I mean we've had them for years, they're our little personal dudes lol. They could do all sorts of fun things with them, hell they could even make them into little organizers for us. Like the Xbox One equivalent to Cortana if that never arrives.

    Well Cloud, it sounds like Cortana will hit the X1 at some point (fingers crossed) and yeah it would be cool to use our avatar for the interaction.

    What would Cortana bring to the Xbox One, I can use it using voice already and I really dont want it answering me back. if they junked avatars all together I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

    IRB I would welcome Cortana, but the only thing I can see her working for is replacing the keyword Xbox. So "Cortana, Record That" and maybe a fancy app with a calendar on or something. Aside that, I am intrigued to see what she will do with X1.

    Genchy, I rather like your spiffing and attractive avatar Xbox one could be getting a brand new UI ;)

    I welcome change with wide open arms. I see it as a constant evolution. It's all good. Feature additions are there for us all to enjoy and use if we want, or not.

    Looking forward to seeing the future of Xbox One.
