XBox One corrupting Hard Disk during Update / Installation

I installed a new hard disk today and the Xbox original game is working.

Would it be safe to move a few save files I copied from the previous corrupted hard disk to this new one or there can be a chance these files can corrupt the new hard disk too?

I would try re-formatting the USB stick and downloading the offline update again. It could have got corrupted.

(remember to safely remove the USB stick from your PC)

If this fails again, then I would suggest that turning of the Xbox during the update has damaged the hard disk drive and will need repairing.

Usually, a software-update can't damage the hardware of a console.

So most probably, your console's OS got corrupted during the update, and the console can't start from the corrupted system.

Be aware, that this procedure resets your console to factory defaults, just as if you bought the console new. So you will have to download your profile and games again after the recovery.

If the recovery procedure outlined above fails, then it's possible that your internal hard drive had a corrupt sector before, and the new update was installed on the corrupt sector.

After restarting, the console couldn't read from that corrupt sector, and couldn't start the console properly, which makes it appear that the update is the culprit.

So it's not the update that damaged your console, but a previous (undetected) corruption caused a fault during the update, and rendered your console unable to boot.

If the USB update manages to detect the hard drive corruption and install "around" the defective sectors, your console can work again.

If however the hard drive is broken in such a way that the recovery method via USB doesn't work, then there is no way around getting your console repaired for 179$, or getting a new console as a replacement.

What I found out is if it is the first installation from the disk (like you just bought the disk/installing the disk to the hard drive) the best thing to do is disconnect from internet, install the disk, once that is done, hook the one back to the internet
and do the update from the game.

first off, you don't BURN games to a hard drive. you install them, it is two very diffrent things.

2nd... during boot up of a game that has been installed to the hard drive, the xbox checks to make sure that a legit disk is in the tray. then it accesses the game on the hard drive, games are programmed diffrently so how the disk is read may vary from title
to title.
