    XBOX ONE Controllers

So, my first two controllers went bad since inception of the Xbox One platform. This was the typical left joystick sticking forward because of constant pressing of It while trying to run fast because of "panic" mode. My next controller's right side stuck
In a up position (have no reasonable idea why). I couldn't aim with any type of sniper weapon and the controller was therefore deemed 'worthless' Thank you, Microsoft. The third controller was one I paid nearly or over $100.00 for because I said enough of
the 'cheap' controllers. I'd actually like to PLAY and be able to FINISH one of my games BEFORE the controller breaks on me. No such luck. After ONE week the power button on the controller refused to turn my Xbox One platform even on. I tried synching the
Xbox One console to the controller, the controller to the Xbox One, tried pushing the power on "X" while synching the controller separately and/or together with the console. So, I returned it back to the store to get an exchange. Three weeks later the same
exact thing happened again. Why can't a multi-billion dollar company that over charges prices for new games [Mod Removed] to spend MORE money on DLC's which are initially part of the same released game make a reliable controller?

    :)

    XB1 Battery Life?

Actually as far as I know there are four rumble motors in the Xbox one Controllers as opposed to the two in the Xbox 360 Controller.. The Xbox One Controllers has the "impulse motors" in the triggers.. But I assume that onyx62is could have ment to say that
there are two more rumble motors in the Xbox one Controllers than there is in the 360 controllers..

    "rapes it's consumers" careful now...

And what kind of controller did you spend $100 on?

  5. Don't make assumptions - just because it's happening to you, it doesn't mean that it's happening to everyone or that every controller is automatically terrible (and, by extension, the same applies to the XBL service and the MS company). For example, my controllers,
by and large, work fine (and in the rare instance when 1 didn't, I took measures into my own hands and got it repaired instead of complaining about it on a forum where it would do me absolutely no good whatsoever), not to mention I absolutely enjoy the games
and DLCs that MS offers through XBL - I've been able to get 30+ free games as a result (and some of them were brand new!). If you ask me, that's an excellent way to treat consumers.

Also, as Scott already said - "Language!"

Watch a teardown of any controller. One thing they all have is 3d annolge assemblies.

Those assemblies will get dirty from food/oil from your skin etc. Which build up under and around them.

When you play FPS games and click the thumbstick to sprint etc. The pot spring will get worped and cause drift.

One fix for this is simply a rubber boot around the thumbstick which covers the opening where the thumbstick protrudes through the clamshell.

Such a boot can be found on flightsticks, and it amazes me that neither MS/Sony hasn't implimented anything to deal with these problems.

For the people who claim. 'Mine works.' Play some FPS games while clicking/holding down the thumbsticks for about a week, and you'll see 1st hand why people are complaining.

Note to self: If I could patient the rubber boot idea, perhaps then I could afford a next gen console and some games!

What are you people on about "language" Sheesh....

@Electro I have played FPS for more than a week on loads of occasions while clicking the thumbstick to run and haven't experienced those issues so your generalised statement isn't accurate.

Whilst I don't necessarily disagree with what you say about the design, I do think that complaints about controllers are hard to quantify. Some people are messy and may drop all sorts of unsavoury things down them while they play, others wont. Some
people may have stronger hands than others and therefore the parts wear faster, particularly if they are an excitable player. Its the one part of the system that is always going to wear differently depending on who is using it.

  11. ^ Now your talking. I'll just add to that that people are as diverse as everything else in life. And some peoples hands sweat a lot, and i've yet to see a gamer who does not eat snacks while playing.

Hence my idea of flightstick styled boots around controller thumbsticks.

    XBOX ONE Controllers

This is something I expected to happen but hasn't yet. I went through 360 controllers anywhere between 4 and 8 months, always a drifting left stick and always drifted left.

I have 2 controllers for the X1, A day one and and green camo. My son now users the day one as a spare when his friends come over. Both have worked flawless all this time, they have definitely refined the innards since the 360.

My only gripe.....still, is the cheap feel compared to the 360 controllers.

Ahhhhh, it's so refreshing to see GG has not changed one bit. Do you run around in a MS super hero suit by chance?

    -

Why criticize the fact that he is complaining?

    -

He could have worded it better so the "defense force" didn't come out and jump all over him, but it's his prerogative to voice his dismay if he so wishes.

Electro..... I don't eat while gaming. The thought of a sticky dirty controller actually makes me feel a little ill lol. I refuse to use the kid's controllers if they need help, I just take My own controller.

I don't let the kid's eat and play either, but they still seem to get horrible sticky controllers......error.
