Xbox one controllers will not sync

I've recently lost the ability to connect a controller via wireless to my Xbox one. I've had the xbox one since launch, and nothing in its environment has changed since then (no new sources of interference). But for someone reason, now I can't get either
of my two controllers to connect to the xbox via wireless. I've tried pressing the connect buttons on the console and the control, pressing the connect on the controller and pointing it at my kinect, and connecting via USB cable. The only thing that works
is connecting via usb cable, but as soon as i remove the cable, the controller looses connection with the console and starts flashing slowly again. When I press and hold the connect button on the controller, the xbox symbol starts flashing quickly like it
should, it just never seems to be able to connect. I've tried updating both my controllers from the settings page as well, but that did not fix the issue either.

I wonder if it's possible that the latest update has changed something inside, because that is the only thing that has changed. I turned my xbox on with the wireless controller yesterday (it hadn't been turned on for about a month), it started up, said there
was an update, I let it install the update, and since then I've not been able to connect.

Has anyone else had this problem?

neither one of my controllers, or any controller for that matter will not sync to my xbox one. Its not a one s. But its not first gen either.

 

xbox one controller wont sync

Brand new out of the box controller that came with the xbox one console will not sync to the xbox. The other one that I purchased will sync. Tried to sync the one that doesnt work to another xbox and it wont sync to that one either. Tried new batteries.
Tried syncing it with kinect and tried it with the button. I have synced many controllers in the past, but this brand new one will not work for me.

I've had the same problem, it worked perfectly until now, and since yesterday, it won't connect. I tried powering off the xbox, replacing batteries with new ones, nothing helps.

What happened? This is really frustrating.

If you haven't already, try completely powering off the xbox by unplugging it from the wall for 10-20 seconds. This fixed mine.

Hopefully microsoft will look into this for future updates.
