    XBOX one controllers not working with Headsets


    I have two Xbox One controllers with the headset jack. One of the controllers will not work with either of the headsets we have, not unless I attached the headset adapter which is actually for older Xbox One controllers. We got a new controller that was
    working with both headsets then stopped all of a sudden working with one of them. The headsets work perfectly fine in other equipment.

    What is with these controllers? Anything I've read talks about updating firmware, or doing basic disconnect and reconnect but none of that helps at all. Both controllers are on the latest firmware.

    Is there anyway to reset a controller? Not sure how intelligent they are, do that have any memory?

    If the problem persists:

    • Try your Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working.
    • Try using a Headset Adapter for compatibility issues.
    • Try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
      updating the first controlleragain.

    Try this out and let us know the results.

    Can I use USB Headset on the Xbox one

    USB headsets do not work with Xbox One. The only ones that will work are ones that use a 3.5mm jack with the controller or one of their (Xbox) certified headsets.
