Xbox one controller's left joystick broken

Here's my situation. I had a standard white Xbox controller. It broke. Now I use my crappy spare wired one. Now visualize the controller with directions on it such as west, east, south, etc. So basically, my left analog stick refuses to go north, northeast,
and southwest. Every time I try, it just kind of goes for a sec, then just spazzes out going in the right direction for a quarter second, then going directly to the area next to it. It's hard to explain and unfortunately, that is the best way I can explain.
I cant replace the controller due to me being a broke so that's out of question. I can't find anything like this in the forums, just mostly about controllers doing some other stupid things. Please help, it's pretty annoying and in-game I can barely play because
of suprise surprise, the left analog stick is the broken one, usually used for movement in games. If there is a way to fix without opening it, (screwdriver ever so slightly too big) please tell me, my Xbox is basically now a 300 dollar rectangle that does
nothing.

HOW TO FIX AN XBOX 360 CONTROLLER IF JOYSTICK IS NOT WORKING.

Hello, my xbox 360 controller's right joystick isn't working properly. When I turn left it is fine but when I turn right it slows down. Sometimes it does a superslow right turn. So when im playing I sometimes constantly have to turn left to get to places.
What's wrong with it?

 

Call me old fashioned but

I have real difficulty with the Xbox type controller's and was wondering if anyone knows if microsoft have any plans to develope a joystick controller, similar to the flight joystick controller's avaliable. Or has anyone used these joystick types to pay
games other than flight games??

I am being called old fashioned by the kids and getting nowhere using the xbox controllers, and it is getting frustrating, after forking out nearly £50 a game, it would be nice to be able to play one!!

Whilst writing, anyone working on Lemming's for Xbox??? used to love them.

 

Youtube does have a few videos to help you fix these controllers. Make sure you don't have a warranty on it first.
