Xbox one controllers drifting issue! Packaging problem

Ive gone through 4 controllers in the past 3 months due to drifting issues, two of which were drifting right out of the packaging. I understand controllers get drifting issues with use. But have you ever felt the packaging of the controller? Very little
pressure on the front of the box causes the sticks to push in with very little resistance. The problem is with the lack of padding and protection on the sticks. It seems the packaging was not designed to withstand the wear and tear of shipping and handling
of the controllers. This is causing brand new controllers to have the wear and tear of used controllers because of the thin packaging covering the analog sticks and the mishandling (eg. dropping, tossing) of the packages whether it be during shipping or at
the store.

Sorry about your multiple issues with controllers. Its really no luck… Maybe you can also call an agent from the support ( https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us )
cause on the forum we are just players as you, trying to help as much as they can and you understand that we cant help here, your message will be read by people but i think its better to call the helpdesk to let them know your issue.

I have been thinking the same thing for a while.

this would explain why some people never have problems while others have issues with multiple controllers straight out of the box

Have you checked whether you need to Update xbox wireless controller firmware?

Using the USB method is my preference.

Xbox One Controller Troubleshooter. Unfortunately for drifting issues, the controller would need to be repaired or replaced depending on your warranty status.
