Xbox One controllers constantly disconnecting

I have the same problem. Since the preview update (about 2GB) my controlers disconnect very often. Both controllers are up-to-date. It's very annoying, with a USB cable everything works.

Tried already controllers of a friend, but they also disconnect (about 5-10 times a day/game session).

Should i call Microsoft or is the preview update faulty?

I have the Day One Edition and the first-gen controllers.

Same issues here! I had some minor reconnecting problems before, but since the last big preview update it got a lot worse. Even my new gamepad keeps reconnecting. Both of them are NOT updated, so you can see, it's not a accessory issue, it's the console!

I am truly sorry to hear about the controller disconnect issues! Thank you for listing all of the detailed troubleshooting that you have tried. Unfortunately, it seems that the cause can be narrowed down interference, as the issue does not occur in other
locations. As suggested before, I would recommend connecting your controller via USB cable. I know this situation may not be ideal, but as interference is likely the cause of the issue, connecting controller with a USB cable would be the best option available.

For the other folks experiencing controller disconnects in this thread, I recommend going through all of the steps listed in our Xbox
One Wireless Controller Disconnects page. If you have tried all of the steps listed in the troubleshooting page, try using your console in a different location to see if the issue continues to occur. This way we can narrow down the root cause of the issue.
If the issue continues, I recommend requesting a repair for your console. You can request a repair through our Online Service center. If you run into any issues requesting a repair, reach out to phone
or chat support from our Contact Us page for further assistance. Once again, we are sincerely sorry to hear about the issue and can definitely understand how frustrating this could be.

I've had three different consoles and tried everything posted. I've given up and will likely just wait for an Xbox one slim or whatever the next version is which hopefully will fix the issue. I've had this issue since day one and never had an issue with
360s or other gaming systems. Indi

I've gotten useless and lazy answers to this issue repeatedly so I thought I would throw in my bit. The issue IS NOT a bad battery pack. I have 8 brand new batteries bought in sets of 2 from 3 different suppliers. Four of these batteries are of the
standard type by which I mean it's just the battery pack. If that doesn't make sense to you as to why I mention that, it will after the next explanation. The remaining four batteries are one piece with (as in, connected and inseparable from) the slide-plate
which goes in over the battery compartment to hold the battery in place. All are designed for the Xbox One X and as I said, they're all brand new. I have also had this issue now with two different controllers. The second controller having this issue is also
brand new as in I bought it last week and the issue began immediately and without regard to which of the 8 batteries I attempted to use. The only factor that stops the controller from randomly disconnecting with an infuriating regularity is to keep it plugged
into the console. As you might suspect, the necessity of this particular action tends to defeat the purpose of a "wireless controller" which is priced at an additional $20 on top of the retail cost of a standard controller that does not have the "wireless"
option. The issue is either in the controller design, construction, materials used, or the coding but it is not the batteries. If I had to guess, I would go all in on Microsoft using **** components (as in, the cheapest possible) for the purpose of maximizing
profit on controllers which, let's be honest, if you're more than a casual gamer, will need to be replaced every 6 months at least. Oh, and I also have two friends who also have this same issue and who have also taken similar measures to attempt to resolve
it. It's awesome to see that this issue hasn't been dealt with over a span of YEARS. Surprise!

is anyone having issues where the controllers are constantly disconnecting from the xbox one and then won't reconnect? We got this same console and the controllers disconnect every few days and to get them to reconnect we have to unplug the xbox for 20
seconds then reconnect it. using the connect buttons on the controller/console does nothing for some reason (no issues like this on the regular xbox one we have). very disappointing.

To be honest I wouldn't expect any good advice in here. If you talk about controller disconnects you will receive the commonly copied and pasted response from Microsoft and then the post being locked. The old post got to 2200+ posts before it was locked
even though loads of us had issues still. most have had multiple replacement xbox's with no joy.
