Xbox One Controllers Causing major FPS Hits

Hello all I am having an issue with my xbox one controllers on windows.

I had the previous issue where plugging in my elite controller would cause windows to crash which was thankfully fixed, but a new issue has risen up. Whenever I have any Xbox One Controller plugged into my computer and move the sticks around I get and incredible
performance hit. This happens both inside and outside of games.

In Games like fallout the mouse and keyboard causes no issues what so ever only the Xbox one controllers

Steps I have Tried to resolve the issue.

Tried 7 different xbox one controllers including 2 elites one updated on about 6 months out of date and 5 regular Xbox one controllers of varying degrees of up to date ness. I then tried updating all controllers through my xbox one, all updated successfully
and work flawlessly on the console btw. Still every single one caused issues.

I have tried all USB ports on my computer ranging to USB 2.0 - USB 3.0, Even tried my SP/2 port with a USB to SP/2 adapter.

I have tried over 15 different cables ranging form phone cable to the cables that came with each controller.

My PS4 Controllers do not have any of these issues.

I do not have any 360 Controllers to try.

    My computer specs

    Intel i7-4900k

    GTX 980TI

    16GB of Ram

    Asus Z97-A Mobo

    Corsair 1000w 80+ Plat

Windows 10 Latest Update Version 1511 (OS Build 14296.1000)

All of my Drivers including BIOS is up to date.

    :)

  3. Controllers are garbage!

I will agree somewhat that the controllers arn't made to stand up to FPS abuse. Since I've got my xbox back in november 2007, I've gone through several controllers due to my and my siblings intense FPS playing.

If the Xbox is going to be mainly an FPS and TPS console, it has to make controllers that can better withstand the wear and tear of FPS games.

Xbox one controller causing FPS lag

Huh. I'm happy to say I found a workaround myself. Here's an example of how to fix this for Trials Fusion, which is notorious for exhibiting this issue. It seems when games use the default microsoft driver/configuration, on a bluetooth-connected xbox one
controller, there is major FPS lag. This can be tested by holding the controller behind your back and seeing the FPS drop significantly. However, using Steam's driver/config and adding the game as a non-steam product allows it to work. Bizarre.

    The fix:

    1. Install Steam

    2. Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings

    3. Check "xbox configuration support"

    4. Games > Add a non-steam game to my library

    5. Click Browse

    5. Browse to your UPlay folder and select the Trials Fusion executable

    6. Run the game from within Steam. Hold the controller behind your back. It runs at a solid framerate!

Hey Microsoft - could you please fix this issue natively? And not just leave us out in the cold to fend for ourselves?

Major fps drops in just cause 2.

Sorry to hear about the trouble Freezevortex!

If you haven't already, try a full power cycle on your Xbox One by holding the power button for 10 seconds (or until your Xbox One powers off). If that doesn't help please be sure to try uninstalling the game and re-install it to see if there's any change.
If you're still having trouble please fill the Survey at the bottom of our
