Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :(

Still have my original Xbox One controller and haven't had a single issue with it, nor have any of my friends or family who own an Xbox One. Come to think of it, I never had any issues with my Xbox 360 controllers either except for the times where I got
a bit too angry and threw them lol.

It is. Since I joined late 2010 my controller for my slim 360 console I can drop it lots and it's still in one piece. The casing on the Xbox 1 is a bit thinner only because they wanted to design a sleek console which the Xbox 1 has. The only little issue
is how strong it viabrates as I found it when playing Zoo Tycoon December last year.... this controller is mental ;P aside from that I've had a good experience with the controller.

called analog / stick drift.... it will happen... all my 360 controllers did this... considering the left stick is the most used... and chances are you play games that rely heavily on this stick... (FPS).. no wonder that one function will wear down over
    time

I have a few problems with my Day One controller. The main problem is that the home button doesn't always function correctly. I have a 50% chance of snapping an app when I'm actually trying to go to the dashboard.

There's also a few smaller things like the fact that my left trigger clicks a little when I'm using it. The left and right sides of the D-Pad also don't make the same sound. These problems haven't caused any gameplay problems and the home button is way worse.

I haven't seen many other complaints about the home button though. For this reason I'm going to get a new controller by the end of this year or early next year because it will be fixed hopefully. I just can't decide which kind I want.

  6. Hello "tohellnbak" Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :( :)

I agree, FPS games tend to wear out the sticks a lot faster.

Yep, ZT is right - I heard a similar analogy using cars a long time ago. They design it to last just long enough that people don't complain. Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :( ;)

    @Skridger

In the case of Pinball FX the input delay wasn't related to the controller but rather the game. There were numerous threads about it in other forums and switching your TV to "game mode" resolved the problem for the vast majority of people. It solved my problem.

So I'd try that with NHL before you spend the money on the 360 version, may be a simple fix.

    [/quote]

Thanks for that, however it's not the case for everyone. I was a part of the discussions you mention. (Though my GT may have been "Fyrbreak" at the time of those posts) The TV is not the issue, I've tried it in many modes. Others reported the same. Also,
I can have my 360 on the same TV, in the same mode, and note different results. (360 has no input lag, X1 does)

However, I believe I have recently discovered something. I have 2 X1 controllers and hardly ever use the second one. I decided to try swapping controllers and using the one I had hardly touched as my main controller. I still want to test this some more before
I make any concrete statements about it, but so far it looks like one of my controllers has an input delay, and the other does not.

That may explain why some people swear there's no issue, and others continue to be frustrated.

Also, I just rechecked the thread and made a new post. The last update from zen (4 days ago) is that they have no update on the issue yet. TV settings absolutely CAN cause input delays, and that's why some people are reporting success on that front. However,
if TV settings fixes it for you, then you're not experiencing the same issue as myself, and many others. I believe it's the controller itself. I have 2 controllers and one seems to have the issue and the other doesn't.

My initial Day One Edition controller had an issue where one of the shoulder buttons didn't click and sometimes a left press of the D-pad didn't register. Not a great start, although I managed to get a replacement and that's been fine. I've also got a second
pad and that's been fine too.

They do tend to get a little creaky over time though, so if I grip either of my Xbox One controller and give them a little squeeze, I can feel movement there, while in comparison the Xbox 360 controllers I've got are all rock solid, even after years. That's
almost certainly down to the fact that parts of the Xbox One controllers are clipped on, where on the 360 controllers those same parts were *** on.

I didn't realize how good the xbox one controller was until i bought a ps4. the ps4 controller, feels cheaper comparatively, the analog stick placement is wrong, the sticks are too loose, and the domed end doesn't have enough grip. triggers on the ps4
    troller feel too spongy too.

the construction feels solid enough to me, both the ps4 and xb1 trollers, the weight is a little low in each case but the balance is there.

but i'm just talking here, my scuf one has been a rock and it has had lots of time logged on it (i have even dropped it a number of times)
