All of my 360 controllers had this issue. Neither of my Xbox One controllers have developed this issue
    yet, time will tell.

  2. The Xbox One controllers are poorly built

^ Well yeah but it's super nice for someone that doesn't like the DS4. I have XB1 controllers on my xb1/360, ps3/4 with the help of the cronusmax. I think the XB1 controller design is easily the best design since consoles existed. The Elite shares my Xb1
and Ps4, the Halo shares the 360/Ps3. I've only had problems on the Day Once controller, it was poorly built and insides were quite visible, I fixed it myself and now this one is never used.

It's made out of plastic and this "made in China". What do you expect? XD

I know Australia and New Zealand have tough consumer protection legislation over here.

My Xbox 1 Day 1 Edition console with Kinect's controller is running fine. And I sometimes eat while using my controller. When I got home this afternoon, I was trying to eat when one of my friends wanted me to talk to her. I got Xbox late 2010 and 2 months
ago, my original Xbox 360 wireless controller for my slim console started drifting so bad my friends in Minecraft said I was moving when I was AFK. But it's still playable.

I got a Turtle Beach 500x February this year. And a few days ago, the right retractable arm to the headset cracked. It comes with a 12 month warranty which doesn't expire til February next year. I live in NZ and contacted the NZ retailer. They said they'll
pay for shipping and for me to choose if I want a brand new 500x headset, or refund. In NZ and Australia, consumers are legally entitled to special rights which is quite fortunate. I feel sorry for you Americans. Turtle Beach like prints a leaflet which came
with my headset, saying "STOP" 'don't return me' 'we can help'. And lists website/forum/email contact. Problem is, their Support is no where up to par with like Xbox Support. This 'allow up to 10 days for reply'. I think this leaflet is more directed at Australian/NZ
customers cause they know we have tougher consumer rights here. Products are required to be "durable" and last "a reasonable time".

Remember the number one rule in business. "The customer is always right". Even though that may not always be true. On the other hand you can just go out there and deliberately abuse your stuff. Try to keep your devices clean and treat them properly. But
products are made with plastic, so we shouldn't expect them to last heaps of years. 12 months is fine. 2 years even better. 3+ years and you're lucky.

  5. The left on the d-pad has started acting weird on mine. In Killer Instinct, where you have to hold back to block, it becomes problematic if I'm on the left side of my opponent...

I also have another controller with a sticky A button since a week after I got the console, but I think that was my fault. Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :( :(

My 360 controllers also started to wear to point of acting up after about a year, haven't had any issues with my day one controller yet, I also have a second controller, but rarely use it.

I've had mine since Day 1 it's the Day 1 Edition with Kinect. It's working fine for me. But I play more on 360 tho. I joined late 2010 and the controller for my Xbox 360 slim 250gig console is functioning well after a lot of use tho the chrome home button
    is a little worn.

You boys need to be a bit more gentler with your controller, just kidding (I don't have chubby hands). Microsoft did invest a lot in the controller and in one of their YT videos with Major Nelson the controller is meant to be able to cope with was it 2 million
    human presses ;DD

Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :(

My 360 controllers typically lasted about a year with very heavy use.

I'm on my 4th one controller already with average use. My day one controller broke day one.

Combine this with the party issues, chat issues, the poor messaging system and lack of next gen headsets and you wrap up 95% of my gripes so far on the one.

We were spoiled with how smooth and carefree the 360 was.

360 smooth and carefree?? Ummm....yeaaaah, you're going to have to move your desk to the basement Milton....No problems with my X One controllers yet....though after a lot of use and wear/tear, my 360 controllers required replacing. I anticipate needing
to do this again at some point when these reach wear/tear as well.

I will have to admit that the XONE controllers are poorly made and feel cheap.

My day one controller came out of the box with the joins on the casing loose and a funny sounding D pad. After replacement I've found it and a newer build one trouble free. Analogue stucks are working great. The 360 controller felt sturdier but the stick
grips wore down rather quick on those but still functioned fine.

My day one controller and my Titanfall controller work great Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :( :D Maybe I just got lucky so far haha.

Had lots of issues with the 360 controllers though.

I personally love the X1 controllers more than the 360 design to be honest, though I might be the minority on that one.

I'm surprised this isn't talked about more. My biggest gripe with the x1 controller is the input delay. You only really notice it in certain games. Pinball FX is a big one. I also notice it in NHL 15, and titanfall. I actually own titanfall on both the 360
and the x1. The difference with the input lag on the x1 is very noticeable. I also get much better scores on the 360 because of this. I am considering trading NHL 15 for the 360 version due to this issue.
