    XBOX ONE Controllers (3) Work Fine Plugged In USB, Won't Sync


    I have read a lot and I see this appears to be a common problem. I am trying to fix this XBOX ONE for a friend.. I have tried 3 different controllers.. Initially I thought it might be faceplate issue.. The SYNC button on the console messed up..

    So I replaced the faceplate.. Still no sync.

    So then I thought it might be the small wifi board on the top of the ONE.. Bought a new one of THOSE.. Still no luck..

    This ONE is out of warranty so exchanging it for a replacement is not an option..

    I have tried all the trouble-shooting suggestions and every sacrifice-a-virgin-to-a-full-moon "fix" out there...

    Please tell me someone has an answer...

    Xbox one will not power with updated controller with MS Stereo headset plugged in. Once I disconnect MS Stereo headset and adapter it powers on syncs just fine. Then I plug in the headset and adapter everything works. But if i power off controller or xbox
    one it won't sync with the headset and adapter plugged in. Ive updated controller. It works fine with old chat headset. It works fine plugged in usb.

    Only Xbox Home button working

    I have the same problem. Two controllers. One works fine. The other controller only responds to the power button when wireless. It works fine on USB.

    I might have had a stereo adapter (without headset) plugged into one while updating. I wasn't really paying attention because both worked while plugged in via usb.

    Maybe I can approach this another way...

    Is there any other component in play when syncing a controller besides the SYNC button on the face plate and the wifi board on top of the unit??

    With as much as I have read about this topic and the controller sync being a real issue, does anyone know if it's been addressed officially by Microsoft??

    Have you also tried re-syncing the controller to the Xbox by plugging it in via a USB cable to the Xbox? I do this method to re-sync my controller to the Xbox and it works fine for me. Make sure the controller is off, plug it into the Xbox, then turn it
    on. It will flash a few times and will then be synced and you can unplug it.

    Wireless Controller worked fine for 2months & now I can't get it to sync to my xbox..

    I tried that and the xbox symbol increase in blink speed and eventually slows back down to a steady blink. I just bought the rechargeable battery pack and the mini usb to usb that comes with it. Works fine while plugged in but just won't sync to my xbox
    again. . Idk what to do now
