    my new Xbox one controller that I've got that i only had for about 6 months is now not working both thumb sticks are not working and keep drifting, I've looked all over to this whats wrong with it and I've found on it. i have followed the steps on
    the Xbox forums and none of them have worked. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. it has really annoyed me and i can't afford for another £60 controller that will most likely break again. I've heard about people getting faulty controllers
    that Microsoft have released with the Xbox one. I've always defended the Xbox but now i feel like I've picked the wrong decision.

    £35 from shopto new version with 3.5mm jack IMO much better than the old version

    i seen some sort of adapter that allows 360 controllers to be used through the usb only other choices are the $150 elite controller or the fault prone original. pick your poison

    Somewhere a few weeks back was selling them for around £25 in a sale. You need to shop around and not grab the first one you see.

    Is this an Xbox One controller, or an Xbox 360 controller? If it's an Xbox One controller, are you connecting wirelessly to the PC via Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter?

    Well what kind of controller is this is it the original Xbox one controller or 3.5mm controller? If it is the original Xbox one controller it might be the controller malfunctioning with your Xbox because they are outdated.

    There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

    The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

    The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.

    A 360 controller will work with a 360 console, and an Xbox one controller will work with an Xbox One, but a 360 controller will not work with an Xbox One and vice versa.
