XBOX ONE CONTROLLER

Hi does anybody else have the same problem as I do?

while playing my xbox my controller turns off and then straight back on. Any ideas how I can stop this.

Old Xbox controller

If you mean the duke controller, you can't use the original controller. You would need to buy the newer version for the Xbox one which is this

I'm going to assume you did the controller firmware update when the latest release pushed to your console? If you didn't give it a shot and see if it helps. There is also an update in the April preview to address two issues with the previous controller
firmware:

*NEW CONTROLLER FIRMWARE UPDATE*

Update to help address controller disconnect issues.

Update to help address headset adapter audio quality.

That is from the release notes in the forums and since applying the update to my controller, I haven't had any issues with this since. So if you have the latest firmware applied hang in there, and when the April preview goes GA, try updating it and see
if it resolves the issue at that point .

 

As the above poster stated, it may be a firmware problem. OR it could actually be a faulty controller. One of my friends had a similar problem to yours and no matter how many times he changed the batteries, the controller would not stop randomly shutting
off. If the firmware update doesn't work, I'd give support a chat and see if there's any way you can get a new controller (although you may have to contact the retailer from which you bought the console/controller).

 

I still have problems with my headset after the update it still doesn't work properly only works when it wants to pretty much

 

I have a similar problem. It started happening after the headset firmware update. My sound quality is good. My problem is it will randomly say that my controller died or disconnected on the screen but the controller will still be on. I have to take out the
batteries to turn off the controller. The controller reconnects after I put the batteries back in and turn it back on. I change the batteries thinking that was the problem. But even with fresh new batteries it still does it. I see sharks & nobles posts and
I hope it can all be fixed with the next firmware update. Hope its sooner then later.

 

I have had a similar problem since the new update. It's driving me crazy trying to play but the controller cuts off and on or does some other funny stuff. I have seen a new update is supposed to fix this so I am very hopeful this is the fix to our problem.

 

Hey everybody this is my first time on here but I'm having issues where I can be playing games and all of a sudden all keys except white xbox symbol stop working.
