Xbox One Controller works only once using Wireless Adapter

Hi,

I was using Xbox One Controller without any problems using Wireless Adapter, but for few days when I connect for first time everything is OK, but when I turn off controller and try to connect second time, controller turns off instantly after connecting to
PC.

I already tried complete reinstall of drivers, did not help.

Same thing is happening on my sister's PC.

We both have Windows 10 x64, though I have Pro and sister has Home, and we are both keeping Windows up to date.

Windows 10

Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

2nd Xbox one controller with wireless adapter

I have two Xbox one controller and the wireless adapter. Both controller are updated and the driver of the adapter is updated too.

Both controllers find the wireless adapter but only the first works correctly. The second is detected as a controller but it doesn't work.

My PC is a Windows 10 64 bits.

Any idea?

EDIT: works on my dad's PC which is not up to date (its on version before Anniversary update) and it works flawlessly, so its problem on Microsoft's side.

You would have to get a USB version or Wireless with adapter controller to work on PC. The one I use is an Afterglow Wired Controller for Xbox Once on my PC.

I have bought the new xbox one wireless adapter for windows, and I have to report an issue.

I have been on the phone for 62 minutes to resolve the fact that the xbox one controllers using the wireless adapter do not vibrate. (The controller did vibrate once, and only once, for a second. It has now stopped altogether)

I have tested the controller using the wired connection and it is working as intended.

This is a blatant issue that needs to be resolved on the software side. The software that windows installed to run the adapter is not passing the vibration through and should be updated. The xbox 360 wireless receiver worked with vibration and now the xbox
one wireless receiver doesn't.

I also see no controller settings or a program to modify them (I assume that the xbox one controller settings feature to be released soon will also be given out to windows)

Why do I not get Vibration, and can it get fixed?

Observe how the copy says:

With the new and improved Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, you can play your favorite PC games using any Xbox Wireless Controller.

Note that it says any XBox Wireless controller. If it only works for XBox One controllers, that is, at the very least, misleading.

It appears that I will have to avail myself of the "hassle-free returns" policy.

1. You can use your Xbox 360 wireless controller adapter only for your Xbox 360 controller and not your Xbox One.

2. The Xbox One wireless controller can only work with the Xbox One controllers on your windows 10 PC.

3. It depends on which wireless adapter you use for the PC. Here is a link on the
