XBox One controller working wired only

Discus and support XBox One controller working wired only in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I got my Xbox One when Kinect was removed, picked up the P&C kit which was working but occasionally would not give charges until I wiggled the cord...     I got my Xbox One when Kinect was removed, picked up the P&C kit which was working but occasionally would not give charges until I wiggled the cord properly until the orange light popped on. Last week I tried to plug it in but the light blinks once when
    plugging in the USB then nothing, it'll come up that is plugged in but no longer charges. Tonight I tried to use my new cord I bought just for the controller plugging it into my outlet not the port on the Xbox. Not only do I have no light to tell me if it's
    charging but the icon on the bottom left corner of the Xbox is telling me low battery with the message popping up too. Everything is OK using batteries, letting me know the problem is with the kit.

    Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

    PC drivers for XB1 controllers rolling out today

    Tested mine today and it's working perfectly. At first I thought Skyrim wasn't working with the One controller. The reason why it wasn't was because my wired Xbox 360 controller was still plugged in. As soon as I removed the 360 controller, the Xbox One
    pad started working. Driver install went fine and all of the games I've tried that support the Xbox 360 controller support One pad so far.

    I gave up on the play and charge kits back on the 360. The batteries are garbage that wear out fast and the cords themselves seem to be easily damaged and I doubt its changed for the One. Bought myself a 10 dollar Duracell charger that came with 4 AA bats
    and never looked back.

    Xbox wireless adapter for Windows - only one Xbox One Wireless Controller works

    I tried different configurations:

    • Two controllers wired - only one works
    • Two controllers wireless - only one works
    • One wired and one wireless - the same
    Both are Model 1697.

    Nothing helps.

    I have the same problem with both controllers only seen as Player 1. They are both the black MS Xbox 360 wired controller. I tried all the ports, one at a time, together, on, off etc. Nothing works. I can only use one wireless and one wired if I want
    2 players but not 2 wired together. Help! Is there a fix? Otherwise I will return the wired controllers and buy just wireless.

    Hi,

    Sorry, what you're trying to do won't work. The simple answer is that 360 wireless controllers were only designed to work wirelessly. They don't have the functionality to send instructions via a wired connection.

    The Play and Charge can only charge the battery - or power the controller if no battery is present.

    You'll need a gaming receiver or a wired 360 controller. Only Xbox One controllers can use both wired or wireless connectivity with a PC.
