Xbox one controller wont work with pc

I have tried everything... I have watched all the videos ive taken every step. I even had a Microsoft guy chat with me to fix this problem and still cant get it to work.

My controller will not work with my pc. I have downloaded the drivers properly. I have made sure it is connected correctly. I have made sure I have all the updates needed for this work. I even connected it to a xbox one (which was what the microsoft chat
guy told me to do) and it still will not connect and be recognized on my pc. Please someone help...

plug and play not working properly

controller disconnected out of the blue,update controller,plug and play wont work + it wont connect to console.plug controller into pc and wait for rumble to stop......lo and behold,plug and play will work and controller will connect to console.WTF is up
with that???????

 

The hand control is completely dead

Try to use the controller with a usb cable attached to the console.

I feel your frustration coming through. This is quite unusual as I use my xbox controller on my PC a lot too. As a first question, can you tell me if anything happens when you plug the USB cable from your PC into the xbox controller ? Does the button light
or the controller vibrate ? Also, what version of Windows do you have ?

 

the same problem as the guy above, the controller of the Xbox one my pc does not perceive, correctly installed driver (win7 64bit) but the program still writes to reinstall the driver ... what to do? Help! thanks in advance ...

Again can you describe what happens in more detail. Is your driver installed ok ? What happens when you plug in the USB cable of you controller ? Does the xbox button light up and does the controller vibrate ?

 

I am having the same issues as the guys above...when I connect my controller to my PC it first starts the sound like it connects a device. Then my Controller does not respond and the light on the Plug and Play micro usb cord does not light up.

If I try to turn on the controller it just connects to my Xbox One...it completely ignores my PC.

Now here is what I have tried:

I have downloaded the PC driver manually.

I have updated the controller software.

This is a brand new PC so all the drivers are new and I have ran all the updates I can through Microsoft Automatic Updater.

I have even gone into my Device manager and ran trouble shooting on the driver.

All I get when I do any of the PC side updates is that the driver has not been installed correctly or that the driver is fully p to date. Hopefully this all helps.

 

Same problem as everyone else. (WINDOW 7 64bit - Newest Xbone Controller)

Today I went out and bought the new Xbox One Covert Wireless Controller. I bought the recharge pack as well as I needed the micro usb cable. Now, when I used my 360 controller I just plugged it in, and everything downloaded for me.

When I plug in the Xbox One covert controller i feel the vibration in the triggers and windows attempts to install the device. The driver however does not work. It says a driver cannot be found for this device.

I've also tried downloading the driver first, then plugging it in. Still no recognition of the driver. If I click the driver download exe it will give me the option to uninstall or repair. Repair does nothing.

I've tried to set it up through run -> hdwwizz

I've made sure to update every windows update non-related to the game.

The list goes on and on...

For the people who are having the same problem, do you all have the newest Xbox One Wireless Controllers? The one's with the 3.5mm audio jacks?

 

Just some more information...

When you download the driver, the wizard opens and says the driver installed fine. But right as it "finishes" Windows gives you a pop-up saying that device driver software was not successfully installed.

Then has 2 red X's next to: Microsoft Xbox one Controller (DFU)

Xbox gaming device.

 

I have a similar issue. Windows 7 64, new computer, fully updated, and new XBone wireless controller. It almost seems like the driver install wizard jumps to the finish screen before it is done working. It doesn't show up in the start menu afterwards either.
I'm tempted to uninstall a few windows updates at this point to see if it has any effect on the driver install wizard. Any assistance or advice with this is greatly appreciated.
