    Problem:
    My official Xbox One controller will not work properly with any app when connected to Windows 10 PC laptop via Bluetooth. (e.g. JoyToKey, Genshin Impact) Works fine when connected via USB or connected to the Xbox One itself.

    Further details about the problem that may or may not be important:

    The button configuration is mixed around and the two trigger buttons are not recognized at all. As one example, in the Windows 10 configuration, LS and RS used to be buttons 9 and 10 but are now buttons 14 and 15. The shoulder buttons used to be buttons 5 and 6 but are now buttons 7 and 8. So on and so forth. The only buttons that aren't mixed up are the two control sticks (the actual movement not LS and RS) the d-pad, A, and B.

    Most likely Cause:

    I used my Xbox One S for the first time in a few months today. There was a 4.3 GB update for the system as well as an update for my wireless controller. I use my controller with my PC on the daily. It was working fine this morning but hasn't worked properly with my PC since the update.

    Troubleshooting I've tried:

    - Changing configuration in Xbox Accessories (The Windows 10 App) does not work when on Bluetooth. For whatever reason, the app will only recognize the controller when connected with a micro USB to USB cable.

    - The controller works as it did before when connected via USB, but this is hardly a fix since I bought a wireless controller so I could use it wirelessly

    - Uninstalling the Driver software from the device manager and then reconnecting the controller via Bluetooth

    - Reconnecting my controller to my Xbox One S and checking for further updates yielded no useful result.

    - I've connected my Xbox One Controller via Bluetooth to my other laptop to see if it has the same problem. It has the exact same problem with the exact same buttons being mixed up.

    Just an update in order to help other players that could experience the same issue...

    1) If you start your xbox one, by controller or by the X lighter button, and then you launch Fortnite with the headset unplugged from your controller, then your headset will not works properly.

    2) If you start your xbox one only by the X lighter button, then you plug the headset into the controller and then you start your controller with the X button, after starting Fortnite your headset will works properly.

    It seems that controller and headset must be started together, after having started your xbox one, but before launching Fortnite.

    I hope this can help.
