    Xbox one controller won't turn on


    My controller just shut down out of no where while messaging a friend. I usually keep it wired using my phone charger so when I found that the phone charger did not work I assumed that the usb port had become dislodged. However I did not take apart the controller
    but I did try putting in batteries and then they did not work.

    Hey FinestOsprey84! It sounds like you've tried most of the steps available but just in case check out the info

    here     and see if there is anything new. If you're still having issues after that, I would suggest returning to the retailer you purchased the console from. Either way, please let me know how it goes!

    Xbox One controller won't turn on

    UPDATE: The controller now doesn't function while plugged in no lights nor does it work wirelesly still has no functionality or signs of any power.

    Hey there Avenger!

    I'm sorry to hear that your controller just shut down on you. Have you tried a different USB cord and maybe a different USB port? Do you have a friend with an Xbox One console that you can try syncing your controller to?

    If none of that works, it sounds like you may need to replace your current controller. If it's still within the warranty period, you can explore having it repaired/replaced via the
    Online Service Center.

    Hello Meister Mike,

    That could be a possibility however, I have never had a controller that was only used for pc. In my experience, the controller should at least flash white how you explained.

    One way you may be able to test this is by taking the controller to a GameStop or local game store. They should help you test it out on one of their consoles.

    Ok, so does that mean I have to "re-pair" the controller with an Xbox first and that's why it isn't blinking on its own? That would mean the controller is working perfectly fine and it's normal that it doesn't blink when pressing the Xbox button after using

    I'am sorry your experiencing issues today with your controller and I try my best to help you get back to gaming.

    Please follow this link for Xbox’s Controller Troubleshooting Wizard:

    This tool provides troubleshooting steps for you to resolve you controller issue. If the Wizard identifies a need for a replacement, you will have to sign in and enter the controller serial number in the Controller Warranty Check Form to determine the controller warranty status (based on initial controller activation date).

    If you have warranty, you will be able to request a replacement via the Hardware Webform.

    If it is out of warranty, you will be directed to where you can purchase a new controller.
