Xbox One Controller Won't Turn On - Tried Everything

I dropped my controller from about 50cm onto the floor white the charging wire in, it landed at a slight angle but on its very top (on the two bumpers) and now it won't turn on. I have tried it with just the battery pack in, no response. With the charging
cable in again, no response. However, when I put it in the light flashes a dim orange for a very small amount of time before turning off again. Any ideas as to how to fix this would be appreciated

Xbox one controller

Xbox one controller won't turn on. I was playing a game and then the controller just disconnected and now it won't even turn on. Tried all of the suggestions on the support page none have worked. Any ideas how to fix? It's the controller with the 3.5mm jack.

Hello, I have been trying to use my Xbox One Elite controller for 2 days now and nothing I have done has worked. My controller can turn on the xbox but after that it won't connect and just blinks until the controller eventually turns off. I've tried power
cycling leaving the xbox completely unplugged for 30 minutes. Usb cable nothing I do will keep the controller connected. The xbox controller will sync but my xbox itself wont sync when i press the buttons. I've also tried new batteries and everything.

 

Have you tried it with actual batteries, that would at least tell you if it is just the battery pack or the whole controller, plus do you have another charge cable you can try with it.

Plus if you have a PC or laptop plug the controller into that with the charge cable, see if it work's that way.

 

Okay, first off thanks for the advice. Literally no idea why I didn't do that.

This is weird though right, I put in the batteries okay and get this, the Xbox logo light thing flashed white once then stopped. You know how it usually flashes a couple times to show its connecting or whatever. It just flashed once and that's all. So, progress
at least I guess?

 

Was the xbox one powered on when it flashed once, or was it off?

Did you try connecting it to a PC with the charge cable?

Does the charge pack show as charging when you connect it to the XB1 or a PC?

And just in case the worse has happened, Argo's are doing the white luna special version for £28.99, cheapest i have seen for a offical controller, just in case,

 

Make sure the batteries are charged or it will only flash once before powering straight off.......
