Tried a battery pack, and batteries. Same result. Stays connected for about 30 seconds and then says low battery and powers off. If i use the USB it plays just fine, but i'm tethered to the box! Tried re-syncing. Nothing different. Firmware update? PLEASE
    HELP!

    :)

My xbox one elite controller won't stay connected to my computer wirelessly thru the official dongle for more than a few seconds, the battery is fully charged and the dongle is less than a foot from the controller.

    Controller connectivity...Please Advise.......

I'm having the same problem. The included controller won't stay connected wirelessly. I dug up some USB cables and it works fine connected via that method. I don't want to spend $60 to purchase a new controller just to trouble shoot. If I do an advance
replacement of the console, will they also ship a controller?

When you have the controller connected to the console via a USB data cable (make sure it's a data cable, as a lot of charging cables for smartphones only have the power lines connected, but no data lines), open the Xbox accessories app, and check if there
is a firmware update available for that controller.

If the controller is up to date, remove the batteries, and connect a USB charging power supply to the USB cable, and put it into an outlet near you. Or use a power bank to power the controller just for testing purposes.

Play with the controller connected to the USB power supply or power bank. If the controller works, remove the USB cable, and insert fresh disposable batteries (rechargeable batteries "only" provide 1.2V power compared to the 1.5V power of disposable batteries,
also rechargeable batteries immediately lose power linearly, whereas disposable batteries hold their 1.5V power just before they die completely).

Does the controller still lose power and connection?

Xbox won't allow controllers to stay connected wirelessly

Why does every controller i buy eventually develop Drift issues with the thumbsticks , or Produce Double input. I own an Elite1 , Elite 2 , multiple stock controllers and various others and no matter how hard i try to care for my controllers They all Eventually fail me and when they do. Nothing is offered the only solution i have is buy another. Why cant they be repaired ? Why cant i get one replaced Why cant they just work right ?! And why doe it seem like a customer support doesn't care to provide adequate answer to these questions Thank you for your time please FIX controller drift , double input and While your at it consider addressing the issues they have with pairing them its a nightmare to say the least and im pretty sure microsofts engineers know their controllers are Fragile/ prone to fail yet market these products as "ELITE"

I too have issues with my controllers and have had zero luck dealing with customer support concerning my issue. I have bought so many controllers and been dissatisfied with every single ones ability to work as advertised Ive owned dozens lf controllers and wanted to reach out to you that you most def are not the only person frustrated with the products performance. I hope you have better luck than i have with your accessory and for what its worth hope you find some comfort knowing a fellow gamer / customer cares about your issue seemingly more than customer support does. And that is pretty sad when you think about it goodluck buddy
