Xbox One Controller won't move down in Menu's during games.

The controller won't move down in any kind of menu's during games. It's not the first game to do this and it comes and goes sometimes it will go down after about 5 minutes of trying but only go down one menu item and then it's another 5 minute fight to move
one more that's if it doesn't accidently go up one while trying to get it to go down. It's only in games on the dashboard and other places its fine but I still feel its a controller problem because it is not all the time. Sometimes it won't move at all no
matter how long I try and it makes gaming absolutely impossible. This would be stupidly solved if game developers wouldn't keep taking out d-pad capability during menu screens but for some dumb reason that's just not common sense.

slows down call of duty IW

Hello. during gameplay, my game will slow down to a crawl and I barely can move. Any suggestions to fix? Or is the controller bad?

Left thumbstick is glitched/broken

Hi, my left thumbstick is messed up. It seems like it's always pushing upwards, which is problematic when playing games, and pretty awful when trying to navigate menu's. When I move the stick down to counteract this issue, it is okay for maybe 5 seconds
before the stick begins to malfunction again. Is this a common issue? Is my controller eligible for replacement under warrenty? I have a day one controller, can I get it fixed, or will my replacement also have the Day One logo on it?

I forgot to mention it's the left analog which I have seen many issues with but have not seen anyone with this problem.

Press the Home button. Xbox logo on controller.

Then move down to the Minecraft icon, press the menu button on controller and go down to quit.

Reload your game and it should be fixed.

When the game is running press the Xbox button on the controller, move down to the game you are playing, press the menu button on the controller this time, and select quit. The game will quit and take you back to the Xbox dashboard.

Left stick doesn't move up unless i push down on analog while moving up... whats worst is when controller is untouched the Up direction is continusly push up on menus,games,etc

the Left stick is the one by the D-Pad, and is usually used to control character movement within a game.

the Right stick is the one by the buttons and is usually used to control the camera/view/aim within games

And the right stick doesn't have any function effect on the guide menu or dashboard when you jiggle it up and down or side to side or in circles on the guide menu or dashboard like for example it doesn't have a secret function or menu when you jiggle it up
