So having downloaded the correct driver and installing it, once I connect my controller via the official usb cable, it is immediately recognised in device manager but it then cycles from connected to not connected and plays the little beeping sound that
you get when ever you connect anything via usb.

I've mains powered down my xbox one because I thought it might be trying to connect to the console, but that is no help.

I'm using direct to the motherboard usb3.0 my board specs are here ASRock > 970 Extreme3 R2.0

PC is bang upto date with no other issues at all so I'm at a bit of a loss as I cant find any threads with similar problems anywhere, controller is also upto date

short of checking for an update to the bios I don't know what else to do

any help on this would be great as my wired 360 pad is absolutely knackered and I would much rather use my xbox one pad rather than go and buy another wired 360 one

    :)

  2. Xbox One S Bluetooth Doesn't Detect and re-pair

    Hey, Alfa!

I'm sorry to see any connection issues with your controller! Unfortunately, Bluetooth is not a supported feature with the new Xbox One controllers and Windows 8.1. You can see more on our

Connect and troubleshoot Bluetooth on your Xbox One Wireless Controller
support article. In order to use your controller via a wireless connection on your Windows 8.1 PC, you will need to purchase a Xbox
    Wireless Adapter for Windows
. This will be your best course of action to have a wireless experience between your controller and PC.

If you would like Bluetooth support to come to Windows 8.1 for the Xbox One Bluetooth controllers, feel encouraged to post up the suggestion on our
Feedback site. xbox one controller with windows 8.1 issues :)

Apologies for any frustrations this may cause! Please do let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Hi there!

Here's a few things you could try:

    1) Plug the controller into another USB port (Try a USB 2.0 as well)

    2) Go back to device manager, if it still says it's not connected, try uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling it using administrative privileges.

    3) Check to see if your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit, make sure you download the correct bit driver for your OS.

Post back if any of these work or if you need more help.
