Xbox One Controller Will not Work Wireless

Hello,

For about a week, I have been having an issue with my Xbox One controller where it will only work if plugged into the console via microUSB. When I attempt to turn on the controller while wireless, the guide button blinks while I'm touching it and immediately
powers off when I remove my finger. If I hold the guide button, it will eventually turn on and work, but - once again - if I remove my finger, the controller powers down instantly.

• I have brand new fully-charged batteries inserted correctly into the controller. I have experienced the same issue with different batteries inserted.
  
• I have tried doing a hard reset of my console to no avail. The controller still doesn't function properly.
  

Any other suggestions would be very welcome.

Controller acting up

The controller still works for everything else though, so I'm not convinced it is the controller.

This issue is not supposed to happen with wireless controllers unless damaged by dropping or throwing them in mid gameplay

I have also already tried updating the control. Still experiencing the issue.

Thanks for providing the steps you've tried. Are there any wireless devices around that may be interfering with your controller? Possible to move things around to see if that helps with your connection issue? Because your controller is powering off automatically
it sounds to be an issue with the controller itself.

Just to make certain, be sure you try each and every step on
this troubleshooter. If those didn't help then I'm afraid your next option is to repair or replace your controller. Let us know how it goes.
