    Xbox One Controller well in warranty but website refusing repairs...


    I'm unable to return an in warranty Xbox One controller for repair despite being well within the warranty period from date of purchase.

    I bought it on 27/06/18 and as of today (13/09/18) it's still well within it's 3 months Xbox Accessory warranty period. However, on the website you have to register the repair through it is not being recognised as being within warranty...

    What can I do? I've barely used the controller for a couple of months and the RB is all over the shop, occasionally it works, occasionally it doesn't which renders it useless right now. Not very happy at all! Any help much appreciated.

    I was wondering if i can send my broken xbox one controller for repairs but the warranty is up im willing to pay to fix it but the website wont let me send a repair request do i have to contract support or Microsoft don't fix controllers unless its under
    warranty

    Looking for clarification about extending my console warranty.

    Well when you pay for repair at xbox you do get 1 year warranty with paid repair and if you buy warranty within that one year you can extend it

    only free repairs get 90days warranty or the remainder of your warranty period on free repairs

    only paid repairs get 1 year extensions

    If the device won't register, Xbox support can help you get the device registered. Make sure you have the controller in front of you when you get in touch with them.

    The best way to reach them is at support.xbox.com then contact us, Xbox One, No Thanks to the virtual assistant, then click Other. It should give you options for chat, request a call, etc. depending on what's currently available in your region.

    We don't recommend opening the controller in any way and attempting any self repair. If you have another controller that is working fine on the same Xbox One console, and you have already attempted troubleshooting by making sure it's updated and trying
    a USB cable, then the only options you have is to check if the controller is in warranty using this website https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/controllers/controller-warranty
    and request a controller exchange, or get a new controller if it is out of warranty.
