xbox one controller warranty problem

My controller has some problems with the LB and RB. I would like to use my warranty and send it to SAV but i cannot register the controller even with serial below the bar code inside the controller. "Invalid serial number"

I bought the controller separately from an xbox one.

Help please

Xbox One Controller replacement problem

Hi !

1 and half month ago I received new wireless xbox one controller from warranty. New controller stopped working yesterday (analog problem). I try report it to warranty free replacement, but I can't (only paid replacement).

Any info why I can't use free replacement ?

You'll actually need to register the console first, then you can request a repair for an accessory such as a controller. If you're still having problems, you can reach out to the chat/phone teams for assistance.

If you're having a hardware problem with your controller you can Request an Xbox controller replacement. This is not a guarantee that they will
be able to replace it as this all depends on the controllers warranty.

If you are having problems through the site then go ahead and Contact Xbox Support by requesting a callback or requesting to chat with an agent for further assistance.

I believe that controllers have a 90 day warranty

can you borrow a different controller to confirm whether the problem is with the Xbox or the controller?

if it works fine on a different controller then you will need to get the controller repaired/replaced (standard warranty is 90 days but some retailers have a longer warranty if you didn't get it direct from Microsoft/Xbox)

if the problem continues with a different controller then you should set get it replaced under warranty.
