Xbox One Controller w/ Broken Sticks

    Hello All:

Yesterday I got an Xbox One and the controller I received seemed to have an issue. So whenever I get on the dashboard one or both of the sticks is messed up so the selection moves to the right. Same thing happens on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the
same thing happened on the Xbox setup. I was going to buy a new controller anyhow but I was wondering if anyone had the same issue or if there was a temporary fix I could manage with until I get myself a custom controller.

    Thanks in advance,

Xbox 360 Controller - Slow Turn Issue

It's called controller drift and it plagues 360 and Xbox One controllers. They claim to have improved the stick mechanism in the newer controllers, so my advice is to replace the broken one with one of the new ones being released on tuesday. They're the ones that support Bluetooth connections to PC. If it has that, it has the new sticks.

PS3s R2 and L2 buttons are some of the flimsiest things arounds which makes the controller bad from my perspective. I don't hit button hard and I broke one. My man has broken several which is why I brought him a fight stick. Brought another fight stick recently
because my friend broke the L2 button on my Red one. That was my favorite controller too Xbox One Controller w/ Broken Sticks :(

One more thing, in the video if you ever see me moving vertically or trying to move horizontally, I'm using the D-PAD.

  5. I have been unyielding in making the switch to play station. I've been apart of Xbox live since day one, Xbox xbox 360 & xbox one since day one. I have wasted thousand or more likely tens of thousands of dollars on this horrible bug-ridden hardware. First
console broke 11 months into ownership, first controller lasted 4 months, second lasted 1 year, & the third controller lasted for 93 days.

It is clear than Microsoft is making a product to last a few days longer than their warranty in order to make us the consumer buy another controller or console or game. I am so fed up with sinking tons of money into a product they no longer have any pride
in producing. They do not stand behind their product at all!!!

If this were not the case, Microsoft would've taken me up on my offer to buy my two consoles, 4 controllers & 12 games that I have purchased just for the Xbox one. I will finally be making the switch to play station 4 & hope Microsoft goes broke. They have
    really lost their biggest fan.

  6. Hey there atWISE!

Sorry to hear about the controller issues! I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

    • First, make sure that your controller has been updated.
    • Once you have made sure that your controller is updated, remove the batteries from your controller.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and reinsert the batteries into your controller. You can replace the batteries with a fresh set if necessary.
    • Plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and check to see if the issue is continuing to occur.
Give the suggested steps a try and be sure to let us know the results. Thanks!
