Xbox One Controller V2 issues

I just bought a new controller (WL3-00060) for an Xbox One S. I'm able to sync it to the xbox, but after a couple minutes it stops working. The xbox does not say it has disconnected, it just stops working. I've tried different batteries with the
same results. no other controllers are having this problem. It seems to work while plugged in via USB, but I wasn't able to test it long term this way, as it is very inconvenient. Even wirelessly it will seem to work fine for a while, and then it becomes unresponsive,
even when I try to resync.

Hi are you sure it's synced properly? It sounds like it may not be. Also does the controller need an update by chance ? If it is a faulty controller you definitely want to exchange it soon since it's new and still under warranty.

Sounds like a faulty controller. If it was recently purchased, it should still be under the 30 day warranty for a replacement.

It depends if you have the V1 (Xbox One) controller which has a 2.5mm port. You will require a adapter for this comtroller.

The V2 ( Xbox one S and One X consoles) controller which uses a 3.5mm port you wont need any adapters.

If you have the V2 controller you will need to change the setting for your headset as menitioned by ChiefJoboo.
