Xbox One Controller Update Issues

I recently purchased a chatpad for my Xbox One controller. Before I plugged it in, I updated my controller. Then, I plugged the chatpad in, and it asked to update again, so I did. However, I got the message that the controller was already up to date. Everything
works - the controller, chatpad, and headset.

Despite everything working, every time I start my console and controller, I get the message that my controller needs to update. And every time I attempt to update it, it just says that my controller is up to date. Everything still works, but I don't get
why my console keeps telling me I need to update my controller when it claims that everything is up to date. So, how do I get rid of this recurring message that I need to update every time I start my console?

Hey there Lord Hotwheels.

Let's try a full power cycle on your Xbox One by holding down the power button for 8-10 seconds until your Xbox One is off. Once you turn it back on, remove the batteries from your controller and connect it the chatpad, then plug it in via USB and run through
the update. Let us know if that helps.

Hi,

I've been having the same issue since the last update (2 weeks ago). This is NOT a Windows 10 nor Xbox ONE controller's issue, because I can perfectly use 4 controllers to control both Steam games and Xbox ONE Windows 10 App. The controllers work fine with
the app, but one I start streaming, my Xbox only detects the first controller.

So, no power-cycling nor controller's firmware update is going to fix that.

I hope they acknowledge this issue and fix it in the next Xbox ONE update.
