    Just got a new controller, i have a turtle beach headset with an adapter that improves voice quality, volume, and also has a bass booster and a mute button and i could also adjust my sound overall. Anyways, the new controller is NOT detecting my adapter,
    but it is detecting my headset without the adapter. The adapter also works with my previous controller so ive tried that already. Controller is already updated, ive restarted everything, blew into the controller and adapter, everything. What do i do???? Please

    I got an email from TB,

    "The Xbox One Update has to be applied to your Xbox One controller and console before your Turtle Beach headset will work properly. This update is supplied by Microsoft Corp., not by Turtle Beach.

    The headsets themselves do not have firmware to be updated. The update is for the Xbox One Controller and Adapter to allow chat and/or game audio to be sent from the controller.

    Your headset may get some sound from the Xbox One controller, even before you apply the update. However, the sound may be distorted or not work at all. To get the best experience from your Turtle Beach headset, you'll need to update the controller before
    using your Turtle Beach headset."

    Microsoft NEEDS to release a Stereo Adapter software/firmware update ASAP.

    There is no official surround headset. The headsets I used with the adapter were all Turtle Beach. Fully compatible with Xbox One when using the adapter.
