Xbox One Controller turns on, blinks, turns off

So I've had my Xbox One Controller for about 2 years now, and I've never once had an issue with it. Yesterday, I tried to load up my xbox to play some fifa, so I held the home button on the controller to turn the console on like I always do, and my controller
turned on, flashed, and turned off. I usually play wireless, but I did have a cable for it to plug into my xbox and it seems to work, the only downside being that I cannot play wireless anymore, because the second I try to unplug the cable when both the controller
and console are connected by the cable it turns off, and when I attempt to turn it on via wireless again it just flashes and turns off. I've tried everything, including checking my batteries, which were brand new, unplugging console, restarting, holding power
buttons, and nothing seems to work for me, despite working for other people. One thing I did notice was when i hit my controller against my desk in sheer frustration, the controller turned on for about 5 seconds this time before turning off, but obviously
I dont want to rely on hitting my controller in order for it to potentially work, as that could just break the controller. I just want to know, am I eligible for a refund if my controller just doesn't work despite any potential fixes? Thanks. I've already
ordered another controller because I dont really like playing wired, but it would be nice to have two controllers again, where me and my friends or family can just sit on the sofa and relax, instead of being right infront of the TV sitting on the floor.

My Xbox one controller isn't working.

My Xbox one controller turns on blinks twice and turns back off. Got new battery's and it still does the same thing. Any one know how to fix it?

Xbox keeps turning off

Yes it is.

I have a Samsung also. I tried it that way and it booted up just fine. It seems to only be when using the controller. The controller turns it on, then the Xbox shuts off and the controller starts blinking like its searching for a signal.Click to expand...

I know if I turn on my Xbox using the controller and then turn on my TV it will then just turn off my Xbox. Maybe try turning on the TV first then your Xbox?

If the controller is updated fully and still does that you will probably need to replace the controller if you want to play wireless.

when turning the xbox off, if the light is blinking but the screen is off then it is auto downloading an update.

the crackling could be interference between controller and xbox.

Games crashing - not sure.

I can also turn the console on with my controller, which os plugged directly into the console, but the controller doesn’t stay on and turns off after blinking about four times

Additional info:

When the console is turned off I hold the guide button to turn it on as I normally would (so the console is picking up the controller) but it wont synch, it still just blinks, spins as if loading then blinks again.
