Xbox one controller triggers

Hello,

I'm having trouble with my new Xbox one controller.

I have a logitech f710 controller for 5 years now and working flawlessly until last month which the right joystick sort of gave out.

So I bought the Xbox controller now but the triggers are too Damm sensitive and have limited range (60% pull for maximum input).

This not a deadzone issue as far as I can tell.

I've done the calibrate through Windows 10 device management and I've calibrated through steam as well but the roughly 60% pull for maximum input remains.

This is a massive problem while playing f1 2018.

Xbox accessories app doesn't let me to tweak sensitivity. Just button mapping.

I prefer the 360 controller because I don't like the feel of the bumpers and triggers on the Xbox One controller. The triggers especially just feel that bit too soft and springy.

Do the triggers work when you test them in Windows?

In Windows 8.1 search for your controllers by typing in USB in the search box. Select 'Set up USB Game Controllers'. In the next window, click on the 'Properties' button. Pressing the triggers should show the Z Axis going up and down - depending on what trigger
is pressed. If the Z Axis does not move, there is something wrong with your controller.

Whether the triggers will work in your game, depends on whether the game you are playing supports the triggers or not. Games that support the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controller natively will support the triggers, other games may not.

Currently, there is no way to adjust trigger sensitivity when using a non-Elite controller. Some games do have a setting for it, but there's no setting for just regular controllers.

I have done that.

It's taking me to a simple calibration guide which is good.

It configured the analog sticks nicely but it can't effect the range of the triggers. It only balances them equally.

The full pull input is being registered too early at about 60 percent pull.

Those triggers bigger range than the Logitech controller I have.

That's the reason I bought this controller in the first place.

For its great trigger range.

I never even had to consider a calibration with the Logitech f710. I didn't even know that calibration even existed for gamepads.

It was working perfectly for a lot of years plug n play.
