    Xbox One Controller to Windows 7 Connectivity issue


    Hi All,

    I am having an issue trying to connect my Xbox One Controller to my pc running windows 7.

    I cant seem to find any answers regarding this issue. I have tried updating the drivers through windows but it fails to install the driver. Cant be recognized.

    I have tried to download the drivers from an independent site but have the same issue. I have tried different cables, updated my controller through the xbox, absoultely tried everything.

    Does anyone know how to connect the controller to windows 7?

    Hey, you mentioned this is windows 7 right?

    Make sure your controller is update as per: https://support.xbox.com/en-IE/xbox-one/accessories/update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter

    Update the Xbox Controller drivers as per "Windows 8.1 and Windows 7" section of: https://support.xbox.com/en-IE/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc

    Thank you for posting on the forums today! I'd be happy to help.

    Sorry to hear about the issues being experienced. I would suggest to take a look at our

    guide     for fixing connection issues with the controller and the PC. At the bottom you can find steps if you have Windows 7.

    The controller will need to be connected using a USB cable if you have Windows 7 I believe.

    To connect wireless you need the
    Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
