    XBOX ONE CONTROLLER SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING ON WINDOWS 10 PC


    My XBox One Controller has always worked on my Windows 10 PC until today. I've tried two controller and several different USB cables. The controller does not light up. When I tried the Accessory App, it says to connect a controller. When I press the Xbox
    button, it blinks and then goes dark. Any suggestions?

    Xbox One controller stopped working on Windows 10 PC

    Have you checked to see if your computer is able to recognize that you're pressing buttons? You can check by going to HTML5 Gamepad Tester

    Xbox One controller stopped working on Windows 10 PC

    I've been streaming my Xbox One to my Windows 10 PC for awhile now with no issues. A few days ago, My Xbox One controller (connected via Micro-USB) stopped functioning when connected to my PC. The home light is lit but none of the buttons do anything. I
    went to the device manager and it is listed there. I uninstalled/reinstalled the device drivers with no luck. I even did that same thing when plugged into each and every USB port I have with the same result. Updated Windows and got same results. I'm not sure
    what else I can do. Windows does see the controller but it doesn't function. I also tested with my second Xbox One controller and got the same results. Anyone know how to resolve this?

    Same here, mine just suddenly stopped working on my PC connected using a micro usb cable.

    I tried six different USB cables i have in my house and it doesnt help.

    This all started with the Win10 update on Sept. 29th 2016.

    Controller connects when plugged into USB port, but sometimes it say device not recognized and is flagged in device manager, sometimes it appears to connect and even lists it correctly as Microsoft Xbox One Controller in Device Manager with no flags and
    the X button lights up and all looks good, but the Xbox Accessories App doesnt recognize it (Connect A Controller to Get started error)....and of course the controller doesnt actually work even though device manager says its working properly.

    I cannot for the life of me figure this out, ive uninstalled and re-installed the drivers through device manager and/or the xb1usb.11059.0.140526x64.msi driver so many times and nothing works.....the controller just randomly ends up in code 10 or code 43
    error in device manager or looks perfect in device manager, yet no longer works.

    I wish I could at least get the Xbox Accessories App to recognize it so i can check the firmware.

    And unfortunately for me, i dont have an xbox one, so i cannot do it with a console.

    notes:

    My xbox 360 controllers work fine on my PC

    Even doing a clean install of and older version of Win 10 before the anniversary update doesnt help

    This happened to me too. No one on Microsoft Chat has any idea what I'm talking about. It used to work, but as of yesterday, the controller just keeps turning off.

    One possible reason as to why you're encountering issues with connecting the controller while streaming using the Xbox app on Windows 10 is due to an outdated device driver. Other reasons are corrupted profile data and compatibility issues with the controllers
    and your Windows 10 PC.

    We suggest checking if there are updates available for your Xbox controllers on Windows 10. Refer to

    How to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows     10 for the steps.

    Note: Make sure to restart your console and your Windows 10 PC after updating.

    No, you are part of the problem. Stop saying its a driver issue. The drivers are fine and all controllers work for other games apart from the xbox app. Please stop with this nonsense.

    Streaming to windows 10

    Hi, I am trying to stream a game to my windows 10 but every time I do, the controller stops working, it says that it is not plugged in to the pc otherwise disconnects from my Xbox One, stopping the stream.

    anyone know what's going on? I'd be extremely grateful!
