Xbox One controller suddenly has all of its button inputs mixed up, How do i fix it?

May I know if you already try using your controller on another device to see if the issue persists?

good work around but i am still surprised the controller is not turning off when holding the xbox button, as all my controller do and they are a mix of xbox one controllers and series controllers. regardless if connected via wireless or usb to the pc.

See if your avr has hdmi control via each input or if its an all or nothing deal. It could be that xbox has to support hdmi control as we'll and that is the problem,but I thought it was based on the avr or tv depending on how you were doing hdmi switching
( at the tv vs the receiver)

I think its best to return it , if your headset was doing fine before this new controller then it has to be the input of the controller acting up.

The Elite controller is basically as it sounds. Its a higher end controller.

Basically it has more buttons that you can program and edit around when setting up the device to make your gaming experiences more streamlined and personal. It allows for more customization for how a controller's input works basically. With it being higher
end its also kind of pricy. I have one. Its durable and can be worth the money if you play a lot of pro or ranked leagues in more competitive types of games.
