Xbox One controller stops working mid stream

Hi,

So I have the latest Windows 10 OS, installed the Beta Xbox app from the store and use the Xbox wireless dongle for my Xbox One S controller. The computer has registered the controller in Device Manager fine and works streaming to my Xbox One S perfectly
fine however at least once during a stream the controller will stop working, the controller's light is still on and if I stop the stream and restart it the controller then starts to work again.

Time frame I would say 10-15mins roughly before it stops working, the batteries are fully charged. I've not yet tried a stream with the controller connected by USB yet.

Xbox One controller randomly stops working mid-game

For the past 2 days my buddy and I will be in a party playing AW together and then mid match my controller stops responding. None of the buttons work, not even the home button. I tried taking the batteries out and putting them back in, I've put brand new
batteries in, I've tried re-syncing the controller and the Xbox by pressing the sync buttons, and nothing has worked. The only thing that works is shutting my system down completely and then turning it back on. Also, when it stops working my buddy can be heard
over the TV speakers rather then my headset. It is a day one edition controller and headset came with the xbox. Any help would be appriciated.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with controller disconnects. If a power cycle only provides a temporary solution you may want to test a different controller to see if there is any change. If you have any USB devices plugged into your Xbox One also try
removing those to see if there is any change.

It's not an issue with a certain game. It's the menu that opens when I press the live streaming button. I even did it on the home screen and I couldn't even get the option to change live streaming settings - like quality. I tried the steps anyway, even though I was pretty sure that wouldn't work. It happened when I tried to change the video quality mid-stream

It's okay. I understand. There's no need to do it. It was only like a last resort to fix the issue. I would agree that it may be a cloud issue. We could wait instead and try it again at a later time. Got it. That's odd. It looks like our best option here is to perform a factory reset. No worries, there's an option to keep your games and apps so you won't need to redownload everything.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

Sorry to hear about what happened. Let's do our best to get this sorted out.

To isolate the issue, have you tried streaming on a different game if it has the same issue?

Let's re-add your profile instead and power cycle your console to refresh your account data:
Note: Before doing these steps, please make sure that you know exactly the email address linked with your gamertag and the password to it so you can add the correct account again.

1. Remove account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm. When you're finished, select Close.

2. Power cycle:
Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

3. Add account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select Enter.
